I'm at 64. Weak obverse details, nicks and reverse die was worked on, ie, die polishing marks.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

This actually has quite a strong strike. It would qualify for Full Thumb, which is difficult.

Die polishing marks do not affect the grade at all. You might not care for them, but they were mint-made and so are part of the coin.

Full thumb is a thing? Well, great;)
Very interesting to hear everyone's thoughts! I won't weigh in on any comments until I reveal the grade tomorrow AM.

Jason has a certain 'panache' about him. Better the 'thumb' than the 'bird'........

I'll address some of the comments as preface to the reveal. First, thanks for playing and for teaching me already a thing or two I didn't know about Walkers!

So, this Walker is one of the nicest coins in my collection. I LOVE die polish marks and actively seek them out on my PL Morgans. I love seeing evidence of the human hands at work on the coins. These are 81 and 79 S below with sweet polish marks.

This 45 D possesses some of the deepest I've ever seen, and along with the great strike and the Sandals ;), she had the creamiest luster of any of the bunch at auction that day and I felt I got her at a steal.

    Here she is.

Great grade for your coin, which is a beauty! I learned a lot from yours and others postings. This is a good thing because obviously I have a long learning curve when it comes to grading, lol.

    I'm right there with you;)

Shout out to @ldhair and @Rheingold for nailing the grade. Anyone who guessed 65 can be forgiven, and can I get a "Harumph" for anything less?
