66 definitely Not FS nice Jeff like the toning im going low on it because of the reverse mushy strike.

66 not FS ...lovely coin but I think the reverse keeps it out of a 67 (especially the hit between “five” and “cents”).

    65 not FS

    The obverse is 67 IMO.
The reverse is weak and brings down the overall grade.

    Nice coin though.

OBV is a MS67 but the REV is a 65. Not full steps.

    65+

edit - changed my vote to 66. I didn’t see a plus on the poll so I am concluding the slab doesn’t have that included with the grade.

I didn’t bother adding the +, as 1938s coins rarely have + grades, for strike reasons.

At MS66 I could overlook those skid marks on the reverse. I think with that toning it's a high end MS66.

Reveal tomorrow. There are a few more individuals from whom I’d love to see their response.

I voted MS 66 no fs. Like others that commented, I think the reverse brings it down, but the obverse is excellent!

I went with 66 No FS, but I can see 67

EDIT - I went 66 because of the reverse, but I also think I see tiny marks in the field to the right of Tom. I they aren't there, 67

Ok, most got it right. Definite 67 or 67+ obverse, and what looks like a weakly struck 65 reverse= 66*. I am a sucker for NGC star coins, with really nice toning. This coin looks better in hand. A definite upgrade from my other 1938s, with the pastel rainbow toning.
