When I bought this coin, it was a gamble. I paid MS66 money for it and fully expected to have to turn around and sell it for the same money. But immediately after putting it under a loupe I realized it was accurately graded and has an excellent chance at MS67 from NGC so I cracked it out. I’m not sure what marks everyone is talking about. The roughness on the jawline is remnant planchet flaws, and the remainder of the obverse is super clean. The luster is exceptional and very worthy of an MS67 grade. The only real question mark is the reverse surfaces are only MS66 quality. Anyway, we are gonna have to wait some time before my next NGC submission.
So it has been about a year since I posted this thread, but I finally got the coin back from NGC. Looks like ICG had this one right, and so did I, and so did a few other guys.
67, I think the little bit of jaw rash keeps it from getting the + Ha, i posted before I saw the reveal. Lucky guess!
I'm at MS 66. Weak struck on the reverse around the windows. And I posted b4 I saw the reveal. Nice coin!
