I am a sucker for golden toned coins. This is in a no line fatty. All of you pretty much hit the nail on the head, and for a 61-62 price I couldn't pass it up. This very well struck and an earlier die state coin, has smooth fields that really draw you in.
Wouldn't it be nice if you could send these back to NGC to have a new hologram applied? I hate coming across a gorgeous coin in one of these holders and then you flip it over and see that. You know it's been sold over and over with all kinds of stickers applied to it over the years.
Oh heck with it. I can't grade which is why I collect foreign. I'm going for a 65 on your 1925 Peace dollar. I see a few carbon spots but not much chatter at all unless I missed some nicks.
Oh, sorry. The coin is an MS-64. I guarantee it 782625%. I am always right, unlike you plebians. You can take it to the bank.
There is one good sized nick in the hair, but pretty well hidden, and the three or marks on the eagle.they blend in well in hand, but deep enough to keep it out of Gem.
So, this is where I got on the coin cabinet. The cabinet at one time had dividers in each drawer, they weren't evenly spaced and really didn't have a pattern. I went with it. Then three trays to fill out the drawer. Sorry, for the unnecessary carpet in the shot.
@Pickin and Grinin , cool craftsmanship on the sauna/shower. That desk looks like it's going to be killer. I would have also guessed 64 on the Peace dollar. Lots of luster left. Some toning/tarnish going on as well. Nice pick-up.
The interior drawer height is 2" exactly. So, only 2*2 will fit vertically. 3 drawers are designated for slabs. I drawer each for new style slabs, each drawer will hold 36. Then a single drawer for the soap box and rattlers. A drawer holds 55 of those smaller slabs.
Only two of the drawers done at this point. The real nice thing is that all the wood is scraps and rips from some of my staircase remodels. and the felt was 40%off at Hobby Lobby. It is only costing me 30$ and some time.
