I was completely flummoxed by this one and did not attempt a guess; I was thinking "choice AU." from PCGS Coinfacts: The 1925-D almost always has very good to excellent mint lustre but the striking quality varies greatly; some are very unevenly struck while others are well struck. Dies seem to have been a problem with this issue, and many specimens were clearly struck from buckled or deteriorated dies. The mint mark is usually a little weak but well defined

Haha- Not at all Publius2! I enjoyed your post and got me staring at the coin for a while to decide my opinion again. Not because of the die buckle around the whole thing, but after i read your post I noticed a few marks around the rim in various areas so I had to look again but that didnt change how I felt. Its all fun!
