Very insightful thread. Thank you @C-B-D ...... I saw when you posted and was going to be the first F-12 guess. I’ll be pulling my cent book out after church and do some studying of my own. Very educational thread.

 

I would say another pro we need to hear from is @Rick Stachowski. He knows much more about die pairings and states than I.

A slider grade ( 58-62 ) for sure ....

Might be. You can see the D starting to sink and fade, just like the reverse details.

 

This makes me think of my early days as a kid, hanging out at the local coin shop. Folks were always fighting over the grade and what to call a 22-D. Fun coin.

 

Markers match for number #1 .
You can even see the die crack, on the reverse ..

 

When I submitted it, PCGS refused to call it a weak D, even though I asked them to add that variety.
