    By EAC standards, this would be a nice VF35 to XF40 -- definitely worn but v.nice.

    Did not receive Coin Talk on my phone today until just after noon today after the reveal, but I was wavering between AU 55 and 58. Nice origin coin... thank goodness not dipped.

    Don’t feel bad. My first thought was 45. The obverse fields look especially handled and lusterless. But the reverse is just terrific. AU 55 seems good to me.

    Yes, that reverse is way too nice for 45.

    And I like the coin, despite the subdued luster or lack thereof.
