This must have been recently graded as it's in the newer style holder. I really think they have been getting tougher on the grading over there at PCGS.

This Buffalo was marked at $65 and I asked what was the best price he could do, I was told $52.00 so I picked it up in a heart beat.

I'm not sure what you guys were looking at with this one. I had it at max MS64 and that is how I cast my vote. Nothing about this coin screams gem to me.

I see a few hits on this coin, but to me I think it's undergraded. I could see it in an MS65 holder. The luster is just screaming and the eye appeal is there in spades.

I'm curious as to why you think it should not grade any higher than the 64 it received? Is it because of this hits? I'm curious, I'm really starting to develop an affinity for this series and I find it very difficult for me to grade.

I had it at 64. There's a few dings too many for a 65 grade. I actually wanted to call it au 58 cause the luster breaks look like rub to me

The combination of hits and mushy details is what limits it IMO. The luster caused by the LDS is good but I would not call it booming which is what the coin we need to overcome the other attributes which are not gem quality.

Luster sure looked good on my iPhone screen . I still think it's a 65 at least . Or maybe I just need to get better at these .
