Bonus Round! A coin talk daily double....1909 Lincoln . Here's how Justin's camera saw it....what did the grader say? I aquired this specimen from Justin a few years back. Now graded ,what grade did they give it?
I am looking at the lamination at about 10 o'clock obv. on the first photo. And it isn't present in the second photos. First coin 64BR the lamination is not enough to keep it from a holder. Nice coin. The second coin64BN also.
Ill stick with my guess on the first coin. Im gonna say 63BN on the second one. The strike just isnt there imo.
So let me get this straight. Just as you're about to give the reveal. You go ahead and post another coin to try to guess? Oh no you can't do that. State law !! I guess what the Chinese lady told me that one time is true. "You can't be happy-go-lucky all time oh no!!" ( but I can love you looooong time)
I'm not seeing a whole lot of luster in either set of photos, which is going to hurt this coin. Contact marks are limited, with one big gouge on his ear and a whole bunch of disturbance around the rim. Eye appeal for me is incredibly negative (I hate this wood-grain look), but I know that a lot of people really like it. So, I'll say that it's probably a 64 BN. It would be a 65 if it had better luster, probably.
