Of course! I hope to hear this week. May be delayed with the holiday though.

Just got the verdict from the folks at PCGS - MS61. Seems a bit harsh, but I'm still thrilled with the coin and glad it came back problem free. Love it!

I was thinking the same thing. Probably do it next year.

I would too but I would send it to NGC.

I would just be happy to know it is genuine, so long as you did not pay too much for it.

How much is too much? Genuine with the natural toning. I'm thrilled. Happy to have it in the collection. I still feel like it's a solid 62/63.

That is a high end MS61. I don't know that I would put more money into having it regraded. Maybe check with Mike (where you bought it) and see what he thinks. He knows his stuff. Grading from pictures of Indians is near impossible. I did a guess the grade on an MS64 once and the grades ranged from EF40-MS65.

How much is too much is a good question. I suppose $675 would be too much assuming it was resubmitted again at MS61. This is based on what L & C coins sells their PCGS MS 62 examples at.

Anyone is welcome to correct me if I am wrong here, but I heard each coin submitted to PCGS, ANACS, and NGC are laser scanned then put into a data base, so each time a coin gets resubmitted, these 3 grading services know. This is why resubmitting any coin could be a waste of money if I am correct.

I don't know, that seems like a lot of overhead. I know if you order PCGS secure that does happen, but I don't think the TPGs share databases. I could be wrong though.

For anyone interested, this coin is for sale. See the for sale pages or find it on eBay - same user name.
