GTG: 1897-O $10 Gold

    before I saw the ngc grade, my guess was au55, as there is obvious wear on the portrait and in the obv fields. A nice looking example, the late date O mint tens form an affordable "set within a set".

    I, too, would have given it a 55 b/c of the wear on Liberty's curls.

    Same here. I was the first to enter an AU guess and wanted to say 55 but the MS guesses before me scared me up to 58. It does appear to be a very nice example for 53, especially the reverse.

    My guess was AU55 after the reveal.

    I'm a bit late to the party, but my guess would have been AU-55.
