Believe it or not here is the grade. When I ask about this, I was told that there isn't any metal displacement or damage, only friction or rubbing on the surfaces.
After further assessment, I have the 1881S at MS67+, and perhaps a green bean as a bonus, for this stunner.
Wow, what a stunner for me considering how far off I was, and a Green Bean to boot! Do you all think that the Eye Appeal and Originality got this grade that high? I went off Contact Marks pretty much.
Amazing coin for sure. With everything it has going for it, (quality wise) the rainbow toning puts it over the top. Awesome coin.
I said 64+, not because I graded the coin, but because I graded PCGS. For some reason common date Morgans get downgraded for nothing else but high population.
Wow, that seems a bit high. I was thinking textbook 65..... I guess seeing the coin in-hand could change my mind, and it goes to show that market grading is alive and well
This is the TrueView of the coin. In hand it looks, to me, like what is shown here on the first photo. It looks much better on the TrueView photo.
