Can you explain how a person exactly tools a coin ? Isn't the die tooled or is it the coin and what tools are used ?
MS-61 in the holder; AU-58 out of it. It might be the angle of the photo, but I don’t see Proof fields on the coin. If it was struck as a Proof, it’s now an impaired one that should get no more than PR-58.
Looks like the luster is better in the protected areas, I'm thinking high AU. Maybe 58. Edit: guessing circulation strike..
MS61 i don't think its a Proof but it's certainly got the frosty appearance so I'm on the John train.
I don't see it being a proof. My guess is possibly MS64 A little hard to judge, but a great coin, none the less.
PF-60. I'm a bit torn on whether MS or PF, but obviously leaning proof. I don't think it's a circulated proof, hence the 60 due to many contact marks but I also see no hairlines.
Tooling is typically when a person embellishes the details of a worn or poorly struck coin in an effort to improve the grade. I am in at PF60
