GTG 1889 Morgan Dollar

    64+ feels generous to me. It's a lovely coin but it has some small hits on the obverse (especially the neck) and a big hit in the field on the reverse. I'd call this a 63/64 slider.

    Agreed. Given the date’s commonness, and slight increase in retail value, it is really how a grader was feeling that morning. Yes, it is an attractive coin, but in my mind, not close to gem.
