GTG 1888 for the morgan date set!

I see I'm late to the game but was going to guess MS63. The reverse is strong. Obverse a bit baggy but overall, still a beauty.

What the heck does "HOT 50" mean?

 

MS61 looks real low for that. I'm seeing around a $150 coin, easy, at that variety.

 

it's a "VAM" catagory... supposedly they are the most looked for of the thousands out there..
Most VAMs are just that Varities... the Hot 50 are made up mostly of errors... DDOs like this one RPMs RPDs etc. Here is the list so you can see yourself what I am saying

Thanks for the info. I've never been much interested in VAMs, so had no clue.

 

61? I was going to say 64, and I'm usually conservative on these.

 

It has been dipped one too many times, or once for too long of a time.

 

Yeah I didn't see a 61 either, but with the VAM and the hoard label I was happy to accept the lower grade especialy as it does look nicer then the grade

 

My guess is between 1 and 70, I win... I love Morgan's, yours is a winner! Thanks for posting it.
