Thank you! I am very happy with them. I am planning to keep these in the collection for a while. I want to send the 1897 off to CAC once they re-open. It, plus another 20 or so Morgan Dollars.
@jtlee321 Justin, first your photos are excellent, as usual! Secondly, I was late in seeing this posting (I generally look at the emails late at night) so I won't detail what I thought they were graded based upon your first posted images, but I will say that IMO IF you broke out the 1887 and 1904-O they would grade 1/2 point to 1 point higher; the 1897 ditto. OK, that having been said, here is what my feelings are; the INGS slabs are not unique but are relatively scarce (the company was in operation in the mid to late '80s) and may command a premium if the potential buyer assesses the Listing photos as equating to the Label grade, and they either do not have foreknowledge of the INGS company and therefore won't shy away based upon others' negative reviews. I would definitely send that OGH to CAC as I believe that it would sticker.
Thank you. You share the same feelings as I do regarding the INGS holders. My LCS had actually received 4 of these holders all with MS-65 Morgan Dollars. The other two consisted of a second 1904-O and an 1898-O Morgan. I wanted to buy all 4 but just couldn't, so I picked what I thought were the best 2. I was very surprised that I agreed with the grades and in fact thought they were a bit on the conservative side as well. These two will remain in my collection for the holders alone. The 1897 was purchased at a bullion dealer who basically sold it to me at grey sheet. I was very happy that the Morgan did not have some of the brown haze that I have seen on quite a few of these rattler holders. I think it will easily get a green bean when I send it in.
