Paid over list, but got it for less then the original asking price so I'm happy. Now comes the fun part. Sellers pics VS NGC pics (and yes after a good examination they are the same coin at slightly different angles) I can't blame the seller for using the more flattering pics, but I always check against ngc/pcgs pics if possible. If this had not been from a dealer I trust I would think the pics doctored rather then just best angle/promo shots... Anyhoo... here are the pics from both GTG
MS 62 PL…initial photos made me think closer to 64 but NGC photos suggest there are more hits…and I think it just makes it as a prooflike
I'm in at 63. Nice coin. Sometimes the NGC photos are hideous compared to the coin in hand. True views have the same problem as well sometimes.
62 ) but curious on where some are seeing the rub. Admit I don’t trust my grading skills on the fine line between a high au and uncirculated especially with internet pictures. On Morgan’s I find the most obvious rub is the eagles breast and this one looks pretty good to me.
Looks like a completely different coin from the two sets of pictures. The top set makes it look like MS 63 PL. The second set look like a circulated coin, with some serious hits in the left hand obverse fields. To me, the second would be AU 55. So, the question is, which set of photos accurately depict the real condition of the coin. They are like two different coins of the same date. The only thing I can do if forced to give it a grade is splitting the difference, and going MS 61, taking an average of both sets of photographs.
posting this a bit early as usual.. off hand my opinion is she grades out about 62 and as ddddd mentions just gets the PL but NGC felt a lil different... Simply said I very much like her for the price I paid for her so in the end that's all that really matters
