    Well, you were right. No question it was dipped, lightly. Those later date Shield Nickels tend to be pretty well preserved.

    Bravo for PCGS...even if a grade too high for me, a nice coin to be sure, and the retainer ring contacts are plumb to vertical in the holder at 12-4-8 and the coin is plumb in the ring. Looks good.
