GTG: 1882 O/S Morgan

    I believe the TPG was generous. Obverse not much eye appeal reverse much better. My opinion only

    That is about right. I said 58 to 61, with 61 most likely. They deemed it baggy, rather than wear. It is a classic slider.

    If it is a weak strike, as I suspect, then maybe MS63. Details in hair and the eagle's chest are very weak. Also looks like a die crack in hair to leaf in front of LIBERTY and between the T's in STATES.

    I said 58 but I can see it as a 60. It's a close call between those two grades.

    AU 50
    Edit: Guessed the grade before reveal. Apparently, this was a weak strike or late die state.

    Yeah, not the kind of condition rarity you typically want in your collection.

    AU 55 at best because of the poor strike.
