I'm not entirely sure about what the Semi PL would mean but technically you could've been the only winner since it is PL on one side only. Is Semi PL a designation you can get or just slang? Thanks!
There are one siders out there. I have an '81-S that's graded MS65+ by PCGS and a CAC green bean that is darn near DMPL on the reverse but not even close on the obverse. It kind of annoys me....
That sounds like a nice coin to me! haha I'd be okay with that on this coin, if I paid for a PL id hope it was both sides but it would be quite the bonus to get the + or CAC on this coin I dont think it would get either though because that brown spot on the 5 o'clock reverse.
Here's a couple of 1880-S Morgan's I have with one sided DMPL, both are on the reverse. I kinda like them. Do I wish they were fully PL or DMPL on both sides, heck yeah, but they are still mesmerizing.
Did the bottom one get PL at least? That coin is fantastic. The top one would just be ridiculous if it had the DMPL on the obverse. The reverse is VERY attractive. Also what did they grade? Im curious since the sides are so different. (Poor guesses but im thinking 64 and 65?)
Both are still raw. I just like them the way they are in my collection. I keep all of my nicer raw coins in the BCW Display Slabs. They are almost identical in size to the old white ANACS holders. They fit nicely into boxes for 2x2's. I would imagine the bottom one would grade out at a 65 and the top one a 63+ shot 64. NGC might give them both a ★ for the PL/DMPL reverses, but I'm not certain on that.
