Im seeing lots of wear, especially on the obverse. The color could have helped but my gut is saying XF45.
Nice colors... but XF40 max. There’s too much wear and not enough remaining luster for an AU grade.
Bit of a weak strike on this one too. The blue toning wraps around the stars that aren’t fully struck though, so I considered that a net neutral.
It may have been graded higher because there are features that are fairly nice looking, especially on the obverse, but I have to say from your pics, the reverse has wear that reminds me of a F12. No offense meant. It has gorgeous color and the obverse is quite attractive.
No offense taken, weak strikes were common with these. I’ve bought several examples of this type for my Seated Quarter set, so I went with color and eye appeal over technical perfection (fully struck stars and motto, etc.) on this one.
Here’s some others W/ Motto.
Xf 45 and pretty
VF 20, lacks motto and details on Rev
First impression made me think AU 55
Based on the other guesses (and taking a closer look), that seems to be high, but I’ll stick with that guess.
Separate names with a comma.
