Its that time again folks! Im your host Pat Strayjack coming to you live from a slabbing basement near you! Put your googly eyes on and lets play! Up on the block for your grading wisdom and expertise is this lovely proof shield nickel marking our country's 100th anniversary.... Vanna, show our lucky contestants the specimen!
PF-sixty something JK - The pics are a bit dark and out of focus so its tough to get a good clear view of the files. Devices and rims look awesome (but its a proof so that's to be expected). The devices have a cameo look to them. Fields look clean as far as marks, scratches etc...but there is either some toning going on in the fields or remnants of a dip or cleaning in the past. I can't really tell from the pics. It looks like a great coin, wish I could see it better, has good eye appeal from what I can see, for by best guess in the dark, I'll go PF-65
This one was a LOT tougher to image than i thought it would be. Not sure why... Anywho thats toning you see in fields evidenced by the purple/blue coloration when tilted towards the light... There are a few lamination areas/planchet flaws on the coin but nothing super distracting... I assumed that was sorta common on these classic proofs?
I say PR-64 also as it's very rare you find a proof shield grading 65 and up as you're talk serous money for them. Still a better date and mintage 1150 + nice coin drool
