GTG 1862 IHC

Came across this one last night and liked the coin and the price.. It will replace my AU 63 details/cleaned Nicely.. though the detail coin has amazing eye appeal

VF30? LOL, it's got no wear on the Liberty inscription! For me, that puts it at a minimum XF40, but I'm in the AU-53 camp, Details if cleaned.

 

Okay. Maybe XF40?? The "dirty" appearance is throwing me off and the Obverse is weaker than an AU50 in my opinion.

Looks to have been cleaned. Otherwise very nice.

 

My grade would be EF-45 because it seems to lack luster. I imagine that the slab grade is at least AU-50.
