    I received this as part of a gift from my grandfather a few years ago. This coin was not assigned a details grade.

    g-6 is very low for this coin. F-12 sounds more like it.

    I’d grade it a VG-10, but I wouldn’t be shocked by a F-12.

    I think it looks like a fair grade for the coin. I mean, the difference between the grades at this level are highly subjective and almost negligible. F-12 to F-15 is almost like the difference between MS63 and MS64 -

    Grades are highly subjective and very difficult to apply consistently across highly circulated (non-MS) coins.
