GTG: 1854 Seated Liberty Quarter Arrows

    It is definitely a toss up. I lean towards light clean or wipe, but could it slide towards straight graded? Yes, PCGS’s call and not straightforward.

    Not shocked. I think they net-graded it because of the marks that could have been circulated, or mild cleaning. If one assumes straight grade, I would have gone 53-55.

    I was going to guess AU 53 before the reveal....50 seems reasonable (maybe was net graded like previously mentioned).

    Seems about right, if there’s luster there we can’t really see in the pics. And maybe it was dipped in the past but was deemed “market acceptable” by PCGS.

    Regardless, it’s a nice coin.
