    I graded it at 40 and figured it would come back at 35 given the tighter standards lately. Didn’t see details coming at all.

    I looked at the original photos and it sure doesn't looked cleaned. On the obverse in the field surrounding Liberty it appears to be slightly lighter than the rest of the field. Maybe they took that to be the area in question. I really don't see it.

    I saw that as well. Since it’s a common area for thick crust to build up on these I wouldn’t be surprised if the coin was tidied up a long time ago and the crusty patina was removed there and around the stars and then retoned.

    Still looks market acceptable to me... Might try PCGS as I don’t have a ton into it.
