    If all coins were graded by the same criteria, 35.
    That being said, I agree all the way that this is a textbook EF-40.

    EF-40, but the reverse really looks cleaned, the obverse less so. It probably got by for the 40 grade.

    40 with old cleaning but not enough to merit a details rating. The fields look unusually clean for an old dollar. If I had it in hand I'd be looking for evidence of tooling.

    It's been my observation that Seated Dollars seem to have fewer bag marks that the Morgan Dollars. Perhaps they spend less time in bags getting lifted and dumped in U.S. Government vaults.
