GTG 1825 large cent

    I felt the same way. I don't recall ever seeing the term burnished on a details coin.

    I thought I was giving it the benefit of the doubt at Fine details.

    Hey remember when we all got onto these threads and went conservative on the grade?
    I think a lot of us that were pretty staunch have given in to the gradeflation that we are seeing.

    It's not a bad coin for being details.

    I think some of us have given in to gradeflation or at least started guessing higher based on being consistently low. There also seems to be a difference when it comes to circulated vs uncirculated coins. I personally seem to be low on certain Unc guess the grades but high on circulated (of course there are exceptions to this as well).

    I am just saying that the coin was not a coin that i would pass up if I needed a hole to fill.
    I have never had that bug. I got holes filled in albums with silver and not the clad issues that belong, it doesn't bother me. Just means that I have another album to fill.
