It doesn't get much better than that, man. Could have left the Mint yesterday. :)

Thanks SD. I was never a copper guy till lately. This was my 3rd large cent purchases this yr. The greenish cartwheel luster spinning off the surface is amazing on this coin. ..:wideyed: I have no doubt that this coin will CAC.

These new pics. show the coin in a whole new light...grading from photos is very difficult and a true learning experience for me. I really enjoy the challenge. When you tilted the coin just right, it really showed it,s luster and near perfect surfaces.

Nah, in that case it would still be red. :)

Well, it would still have sat there for 196 years. :p

If we assume it's a Randall Hoard coin, it's rather astonishing that it sat in the ground for half a century. This one would have had to be buried deep in the middle.

I would be willing to bet that MS 70 and that beautiful coin became aquated at some point.

    Gad! it sure is beautiful.

That is exactly the luster MS 70 reveals.

Well I mean it isnt that nice;). Its got a big crack all the way around. You dont want a coin like that. I however would be happy to rid you of such a burden.

But seriously it is a beauty.
