Correct. There were four types of GSA holders (Hard pack Unc CC, Hard pack "non-unc" CC, Hard pack Non-CC dollar, and Soft pack Circulated) and each had its own type of card. The two that willieboyd2 showed both went with the Non-Unc CC. There was also a fifth type of card that was included with the 1880 dated coins that explained that many of the 1880 dollars came from overdated dies (and what was meant by overdated) and that the new owner should examine their coin carefully or have it professionally examined.

I have 2 unopened white boxes from my dads collection. A local dealer told me they are GSA Morgans. He wanted to open the box. I asked a bazillion questions and decided to put them back away. I have thought about opening them to verify but I figure the mystery just feels more intriguing.

How did the dealer know that they were GSA Morgan's? Boy, I'd love to have those!

It's been about 10 years or so when I was moving into a new home. This collection is nuts, so I was thinking about selling some to lighten the load. I noticed he kept going back to those boxes. I don't know how he knew or that is really what is in them.

I got a new camera - keep bugging and I'll try to get some pics to you. not much to see if I remember right, its just a plain white box about the size that mint set state quarters come in. 5x7 and an inch thick

Per David Bowers 147,485 of 1981CC, 605,029 of 1882CC, 755,518 of 1983CC, 962,238 of 1984CC, 148,285 of 1985CC came from GSA, so about half or more of the minted dollars for those years came from GSA.

The others years such as 1879, 1891 are much more rare, so the certificate of authenticity of those other year coins would be worth something.

That is for gsa morgans not in an uncirculated holder. On a GSA in an uncirculated holder, the serial number begins with the last two digits of the coins date.
