Why is there no listing in the book for a 1932 Mercury Dime?

The two in the picture look like 32s and when I tried to look up a 32 it skipped from 31 to 34?

This was the first year that Mercury dimes were minted after the US stopped minting these coins during the great depression between 1932-1933.

The buff nickels the 36d has a 3 and one half leg version worth 750 american, the 37d has a 3 leg version worth 535 american in G-4 condition on both coins. Scan them on a scanner with a high resolution scan, then you can pull up small details

Scans: see anything interesting? 36D 37D

36-D first coin left and the 37-D has a slightly green tinge to it.

I think you did very well. Those are worth something and the silver is worth more than melt. I am selling mercury dimes for $4 a piece, so they will go for more than melt. Even the 64 Kennedy half will go for $20. You just have to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Looks like the condition of yours will hurt value, maybe .....set the others aside and lets do front and back of this one and ask some of the pros to step in and give a grade. IT IS A 36 D 31/2 leg. GOOD FIND. I thought the guys who sold you this burnt you. It had already been picked through, you could tell by the dates on the indians. THEY MISSED THE GOOD ONE.

I know I am. This thing could be worth upwards of 2500 plus. We need a condition, it probably would pay to have NGC clean this thing up for you...they could also probably do the verifying part of it too. DK much about that area.

I am not advising you to do this, but antibacterial soap and a little soft finger work wouldnt hurt, this thing is hot. **** OF A FIND...

[IMG][IMG]yes you have it. look at the pics. It is not just that part of the leg is missing it also because of the leg looking thing behind the front leg. Yours has that... thats not dirt.

go to the us coin error forum for older coins, and make a post with it. The coin beside yours is not supposed to be clean but some experts will agree that a little soap and a sft rubbing with your fingers helps. I would bet 10 to 1 that coin was cleaned at one point
