    Gonners but at least their silver! I've never had success at conserving silver with heavy verdigris. I always had to resort to mineral acids which ruins any numismatic value. Normally, it's entrenched, permanently attached and headed to terminal stage.

    Be sure to keep the coins with verdigris isolated. Verdigris is transmittable! I found a perfect example roll searching. These 2 coins were stuck together and it took considerable force to separate them. Obviously, the corroded coin was put into the roll next to a mostly red coin. Overtime, verdigris spread and grew on the red coin.

    Uh...OK, but PVC is a very brittle plastic, what makes it flexible is large amounts of a plasticizer, most usually DiOctylPhthalate or DOP. The plasticiser can ooze out as the plastic ages and gets brittle or heats/cools and "sweats" it out. Once the plasticizer is on the coin, it traps whatever chemicals are in the vicinity.

    You sure about that? Those actually aren't green, they're more chartreuse, I think.
