Yes I reviewed this one before posting, I just feel it is not a match for on the monogram but it did make me look more than once, thank you!

I am simply trying to be correct, I'm sorry if I have offended you in some way?

Thank you for pointing it out, I feel the color is quite beautiful, by the way I have
now removed the COA until I get a proper reference, there are at times coins
are so worn an exact ID is impossible, but I try to do my best...

Thank you for all of your help in finding a proper reference...

I noticed this referance about the exact vase from the site that you listed:
    * Coin descriptions usually call this cup a vase or a skyphos.

I am at a loss to understand the elitist attitude of some well known members
toward others simply asking advice from those who may have more experience,
about some coins, I am unaware that a coin enthusiast is to be shamed for selling
some of his own coins, I have certainly never, ever made a point of selling coins on this site, it is only others that have ever brought that to light.
So one may have a look in the mirror for who to shame....

Hmm. But you were asking for free ID help here, to assist you in selling a coin? I think people might not like it when their free advice is actually used for profit. Especially when it's undisclosed.

    Is that shameful or elitist?

Listen, you chastise me for being shameful & I respond with an elitist comment, both analogies were, I'm confident intended to be somewhat of a dig toward the other... Yes, for some individuals you now make a valid point that I never considered, as I look at the Coin talk forum as being one of my last stops for referencing a difficult coin, if this forum is only for those individuals who like coins to chit-chat, than yes, this is not the place for me, frankly I have always felt that information given here, was done so freely, from those who wish to aid others with their expertise toward various interesting issues concerning coins.
I am always willing to be upfront with coin talk members, what would you suggest that I do to solve this issue from your view point...?
I do keep many of my coins for long periods of time, don't we all at some point trade or sell coins to others eventually? For any of the coin talk members that contribute their valuable effort and talents to referencing coins for me, my apologies if you feel that I have taken advantage of your advice and the use of this Coin talk forum... Sincerely Steven

...@DonnaML has a point...and really i can't blame anyone for coming here to seek coin & historical info....the pool of knowledge here on those items is almost infinite...so take a bow you educated geniuses, seekers of truth and hopeless romantics..you, who make the coin world go round! :D

    Woooh.....Another thread with bickering!:(........
I have no problem giving any of my limited knowledge as information to anyone who's interested in Ancients irrelevant of their motive. I don't know the history of the poster of this thread but he does seem to be polite and have self-restraint.....
We have all started off with zero knowledge and have progressed via written, digital or from questions asked to fellow collectors and for sure most of us have then flipped or sold coins due to financial conditions or maybe just because our collecting interests have changed. People on this forum often buy coins that have been identified on other forums from well known dealers who are quite open in their motives, but not just to sell the coin, they just want to actually ID it correctly! At the end of the day the threads are a means of gaining information about coins and their history immaterial of the reasons the initial coins were posted?
I must say I'm getting a bit :bored: with the snide remarks that seem to be coming more common place here at the moment....'Punto Final'.......Paul

Steven, perhaps this is one simple solution: each time you ask for assistance in identifying a coin that you have up for sale or plan to put up for sale, you could specifically mention that fact in your request. That way people could make their own decision as to whether to help you out, without any possible issue of their claiming that they were "deceived" into doing so.

Thank you Donna, Life truly is like a box of chocolates... even when discussing coins!
Yes, It looks like that is now the plan as I certainly do not wish any misconceptions
    about my motives.
I must say you have always been very nice with you likes & comments..

Just to be clear, I mentioned you asking for our help and time to help you make a profit selling on E-bay only because there had been another member posting here before doing the same.
That member was pretty much asked to quit doing it by a few of the most respected members on this forum. I will not mention any of them that is up to them if they want to speak up.
I am not an elitist (Not smart enough to be anyway) in any way what so ever. I do not know much at all about ancient coins in general but would be more than happy to share with anyone anything I know.

I to have just recently moved into this era of coin collecting, my first coin was of course a Henry VIII, do mainly to our society building him into such a well known & bombastic over the top King... then once one obtains him, then his daughter, Elizabeth I naturally comes to mind, and of course one has to have her to as it just makes a natural pairing... frankly though I never really thought about Edward VI until after getting Elizabeth, as he is kind of a forgotten and overshadowed individual by the former family members being so illustrious in history, one can only imagine history had he lived a full life as king, we would have never have known the name Elizabeth I or how a woman or her day could be such a strong ruler as his sister clearly was!
After these three, most others just seem a bit anti-climactic to me...
