great story, new hoard found, many lost

A hoard found under a 70 year old tree makes me wonder if it had been found earlier and reburied under a sapling so it could be found again hoping that the political situation would be better for private ownership than it was when first found. I live in a forest that was clear cut in the 1920's but now filled with trees over 70. Just think how many changes of status might have occurred in the time since ancient hoards were first buried.
