Grease filled die?

    Hey @Fred Weinberg ! I've never seen whizzing like that on the OP's penny before. Would you mind explaining to me how the appearance of this coin (both sides) is created by whizzing? I'm always willing to learn something new.

    It's a 'badly' whizzed coin, imo.

    (meaning I see whizzed surfaces,
    but not as much as a 'completely'
    whizzed coin.

    Not acid, but amateur whizzing, is
    what I see.

    Thanks for the quick response. What sort of tool do you think would cause the appearance of "smearing" (for lack of a better word) like this?

    Sorry, but I have no idea what tool caused it .

    It's just a slightly different look to a whizzed coin, imo.

    The damage seen on the OP's coin was probably done on a tool like this.

    There are many different types of wire wheels from soft brass to hard steel. I'm sure they will make a different effect on a coin.
