It's there! Couldn't see the Morse Code with my magnifying glass but the loupe showed it! Can't imagine how the engraver did that though, pretty cool, thanks for pointing it out!
SensibleSal66 I'd be interested in seeing your unidentified button. I've unearthed many seemingly mysterious buttons over the years, but with time and determination have managed to ID most of them. I like the challenge! Heck yeah - old railroad tracks and cellar holes can be a treasure trove of interesting relics. I grew up and still live next to the Hudson River which the local tracks follow for hundreds of miles. Always something old and cool to be found scavenging there.
With one exception out of the 25 insulators that I have in my little collection all are embossed with a manufacturer's name. Also, the glass is very thick. Now, if I could just find a purple one.
Hello Group, During my detector days I was hunting an old homestead's bottle dump and found this 'ancient' Lea & Perrin's Worcestershire sauce bottle complete with it's glass stopper. I took it home, boiled it & the stopper, and after fitting the stopper with new cork, used it for many years as my fridge's Worcestershire bottle. (Wonder where that went?) J.T.
