You have a very very nice collection. The one coin that stuck out to me was the 1899 Morgan Dollar. If it is a philadelphia strike you have a nice one with honest wear. They are getting harder and harder to come by. Also the 1804 and 1794 lg cent is very nice.
Just posted pics of all the loose 2x2s I could find. At the end of the list is a little ancient coin. Any ideas?
Just added 2 new sections "Foils" and "Tokens". Next, I'm tackling a bunch of forgein coins! http://www.monshaugenfamily.com/coins.htm
Howdy Granddaughter, Aside from the considerable value, granny did you folks an enormous favor just in compiling such a grand and diverse collection. What a blessing. You've got so much history wrapped up in those coins that it's a bit hard to comprehend. Take care of them, study them, and enjoy. And plan on passing them down. peace, rono
The 1794 large cent is a S-70 it is a common variety but a fairly nice coin. (These early large cents are commonly collected by die variety, one coin from each pair of dies that was used. They are cataloged by S or Sheldon numbers. The 1794's run from S-17 thru S-72 so your coin was struck just shortly before they began striking the 1795 coins.)
