During XII-XIX centuries Finland was a sweden territory. After Russian-Sweden war 1808-1809, Finland was conquered by russians and became a Grand Duchy within Russian Empire until 6 december 1917. Russian Administration minted a Finnish coins since 1864 until 1917. It is rather rare coins in USA, i think. So i introduce them for You, gentlemans.

i bought quite a lot of the pre 1917 coins a few years ago when i visited helsinki, and i soon had a terific collection of finnish coins up to the first euro issues.
Finnish coins are very beautiful, I think. But I mean an old coins. A coins that were minted in 1970-80th are rather simple and not very nice.
Hm... I suppose that old Finnish coins are better than modern... But this 5 markka coin is pretty nice too.
