I'm not a Morgan specialist so not sure about that one. The 2016 is common and would be probably cheaper if you buy one that is already graded. Besides.. There is damage above the words 1 OZ. FINE on the reverse.
Paddy is absolutely correct. You will not change the value of the bullion coin by spending the money to slab it..... The Morgan is a common date Morgan. Unless it is a spectacular grade I don’t believe you would recoup your grading investment. It looks nice and appears to have a decent luster. It certainly merits being in an Airtight or something, but I wouldn’t spend the money to have it graded.
No and no. The 1882-S Morgan Dollar is a common date that comes nice. That coin is nothing special. Slabbing bullion coins makes little sense. That one has minor marks, which takes it well below MS-70.
I agree with all the above. The 1882 S Morgan is relatively inexpensive in grades MS64 and below. You could check Vamworld to see if it's a rare VAM Morgan. I've never checked my Morgan dollars on VAMworld ( Maybe I will someday). As for the 2006 SAE in addition to the damage on the reverse There appears to be a fingerprint below the T in LIBERTY.
Two things.... Look just to the right of the text 1OZ.... See that scratch? That has ruined any chance of your bullion goin grading well..... Secondly, graded bullion coins are a contradiction. Bullion is bullion regardless what the TV coin show hosts say. Seriously, the value is bullion value only.
I see it but look at the pictures that I posted of the graded dollar. Over the word one is a scratch worst than mine on the reverse and on the obverse there is damage all over the collar in the S.E. area
No to both. ESPECIALLY the ASE. Grading bullion is a terrible idea. The only people that it benefits are the TPG's.
I hear you and grading coins is a gamble with the odds on the house... I’ll say this. I own hundreds of bullion rounds just like this. If I buy a bullion round I will pay less than $20.00 for it. If I buy a graded bullion round... I will pay less than $20.00 for it as well..... Grading bullion in hopes of monetary gain will never happen. On the other hand, if you want to grade the piece to protect it as a family heirloom, I would support that 110%.
Your coin will not even grade 69. Don't waste the money having it graded. Do you know the cost of sending coins in for grading?
THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS NOT SURE HOW MANY TIMES I CAN STRESS THIS 99.99% of coins DO NOT need to be "graded" or "slabbed by TPGs.
She is just dirty. Most details are brilliant. Just look past the dirt. I may give her a ultra sonic bath
