Grading ?

    I don't even understand it. And this is the downside to slab grading. It creates its own mark forces. Like the old CC government Morgans, I can't understand why anyone wants to break them out of their airtight containers? Do you want to finger print them?

    I guess I would need to have really felt I hit the jackpot on a coin to do this, but frankly, spending thousand of dollars over levels of perfection which would require a master jerwler to see is beyond me.

    I guess they do this with diamonds so I shouldn't be suprised.

    When I see something like that I think to myslef of the risk of lost value if anything happens to the coin, like if you sneeze on it on a rainy day.

    Those Eagle proofs are sooo beautiful to look at.

    For whatever it's worth Ruben - I've never submitted a single coin to be graded. If I want one in a slab - I buy one already in a slab.

    I agree with you about the GSA dollars - I always prefered the original holder myself. They're not airtight though.
