Funny post but very disappointing. You are supposed to be one of the go-to-variety guys around here. Is that the best you can do? Attack the messenger? Do you dispute anything I posted about micro-numismatic "varieties or "non-varieties" :D or will you continue to lead new collectors astray searching for something not there?

At least the image of the pitcher is blown up enough so the Tooth Fairy does not need a scanning electron microscope to see the "nothing" mint mark on that nickel. :p

Most of us here dispute everything you post! Most of us have either had or have you on an iggy! I don't proclaim that I am an expert never have or will. You can either agree or disagree or research it yourself . And I'm not the go to person here or anywhere else on error, or variety coins.
As such an "expert" yes YOU, on numismatics yet never ever post a coin! Do you even own a coin? You come in here with you narcissistic attitude and try and discredit others yet......never post a coin. You come in here and try and fill others minds that's it's OK to drink your Kool-aid and it truly isn't .
No expert here ,just a human who yes has and can make mistakes ,but man enough to admit it. So don't come in here ,and try and spin your narcissistic views.
As majority of the members here aren't that stupid to buy it. We may of been born at night...but it wasn't last night!

:yack::yack::yack: :stop: You still are avoiding the question. Why not post a large image of the "RPM." I'll be glad to say something is there if it is.

You of all people should know the number of times you help people with PMD, non-errors, junk, yet they insist you are not seeing what they see! I cannot remember you being attacked or made fun of. One thing the Rev. Jim as you call me knows from experience: Trust your own eyes, then verify...and even then you may not get it right.

I collect things besides coins. Would you like to see one?

PS. I've already stated my opinion :)bucktooth:) of people who ignore other posters - for any reason. :angelic:;)

PSS. I hope one day you find that being happy with yourself is a blessing - and not some unwanted trait. It allows one to suffer ignorance, raving idiots, liars, and fools. Oh, and just for the uneducated, I am not calling Patty or any posters here ignorant, idiots, liars, or foolish. This is about the real world we live in outside of CT. :angelic::D

PSSS. Since you believe most members dispute everything I post, here is one for you: @Paddy54 is a great guy! :joyful:

The people here who truly know me don't need to read a fools printed word to know what the truth is......actions always speak louder than words. I need not defend myself as again I am human, and as such Again do make mistakes.... My biggest mistake TODAY is having a battle of wits with you.... who by all means needs to surrender due to lack of ammunition!

In most instances an RPM, Doubled Die and other die varieties are no more rare than any other normal coin struck by a specific die. A die is placed in service and it produces the normal amount of coins irrespective as to whether that die is producing an RPM, Doubled Die or etc. These are not physical characteristics that causes a reduction in the useful life of a die.

It is true - dies that exhibit these characteristics are rarer than dies that don't. But as for the number of coins such a die produces is approximately the same as any other die.

The real value of an RPM, Doubled Die and etc provides is the unique characteristics these dies transfer to the coinage it produces that allows a collector to attribute the coin to the specific working die that struck it.

Whether this attribute can be observed by the naked eye, a 10x loupe or other extreme magnification really makes no difference. Because in most cases there are a million more coins out there just like it struck by the same die.

Really if you think about it - the easier such a characteristic is to see the more likely of being discovered by a collector thus creating a larger population of known examples.
