Normally an AU silver coin will turn gray at the rub. </p><p><br /></p><p>Now you'll need to decide if the change of color is due to stacking (market acceptable) or friction wear (not acceptable). Additionally, if friction, you'll need to decide how much friction you will allow on a coin before it becomes too much (AU) for your standards.
