    1945 Lincoln cent with ?

    Here are the obverse and reverse of a Lincoln I purchased for a embarrassingly low price on e**y sometime ago.
    When I checked the coin under a 5x and then a 10x I was astonished to see the images in the background on both sides of the coin.
    I had a heck of a time getting a picture that showed the images correctly so the coins might not look 'straight at you' as we would like them to be.
    I did take the coin to a well-known numismatist and he told me that it is a die-clash on the obverse and a double die-clash on the reverse. He also gave it a MS65 grade.
    This is the dealer who said that 'you have a good eye for these things, most people would not have noticed the difference'...
    And to think, if this coin had ever been circulated the images would likely have disappeared within a few years.
    This may be my very favorite Lincoln cent, even though it has no premium value like a variety cent.
