Round 9 Just to rehash the basic rules. You must have previously signed up to compete for the prizes. I will post pictures of 3 coins and round will begin when all pictures are posted. You can submit 1 grade per coin and no grades will be accepted and you cannot edit posts after the actual grades are posted. As with all the rounds so far Bahabully will post the actual scores when he gets them together... Round 9 will end Tuesday March 8 at 7:00pm Pacific time unless all the contestants get their grades in early... I'm just doing it to sharpen my skills. I don't count, cause I didn't start at Round 1 How many rounds are there going to be?
Merc - MS67 (This one better not be another 5 ). 1879-S- MS65 1881-S - MS65 I think the '79 is right on the line between 4 and 5, might have gotten a 4 because it's an early S mint. The '81 look like a solid 65.
yes unfortunately it is too late to compete for the prizes. There was a signup period before the contest so that everyone would have to grade the same amount of coins to get a fair average. There is only one round after this one .
Mercury MS66 would go lower, but given the last round????? 79 Morgan MS64 81 Morgan MS65 And the Rosey in the last round, with a ding right in the middle of the reverse...wow....guess the TPG considered that normal mint quality to give it the high grade...perfect example of buy the coin, not the slab.
good heavens BIGJP,, why don't cha just run out onto the track and push Raiders car while your at it ; ) 65 63 64
Merc-66(Honestly the way I'm blowing these I wouldn't be surprised with anything between g4-ms70! ) 79-63 (Really think even a 62 is possible) 81-64 (Went +1 on this one as I didn't really want to go above 63 with those gashes to the obverse fields)
