Carlton Banks & The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air There's a Carlton for every generation, Famous Carlton Dance
You know how many times I've seen that show and never once did I associate that name with that dear fellow.. Good one Chris....
Well alright! Looks like pretty much everyone did a bit better this round... I have to say out of the three the Morgan is the only one I felt may be overgraded. I bought it for just over 64 money, but there is a fingerprint on the obverse that I cant get past....Here's the slabs I don't know what it is about copper, but I get a decent pic of luster on this one, but couldn't show it on the 67 in the previous round. Oh well. Actual standings will be posted later by Bahabully. and I'll post the next round in just a bit.
And here they are: A couple folks riding Dukes draft and coming around neck and neck into turn one. I most certainly know all too well exactly what you are talking about - and if any of the naysayers were in my office to see what I see, they might just start being a little more open minded. Read on I think.... No! I am certain that your/our 2 coins that appear to have similar/same luster in hand, doesn't reflect light past your Iris to the optical disc and nerve, then get interpreted by your brain, with the same resolution - as the light reflecting off a coin, thru a camera lens focused on a sensor and then viewed on a monitor. The sensors in todays DSLR cameras are 14mm tall - your optical disc is only a couple millimeters, if that. The camera sees much more at 1:1 than we can comprehend until it is viewed on a monitor in larger than life.. think of it this way, a digital image might contain 10 million pixels, - you know those little squares you see when you enlarge an image? It doesnt' stop there. 8, 16, 24 and I hear now 30 bits of color (bit depth) are used to make that pixel. That amount of data/information is what is contained in a single digital image. Like the national debt - it s too big to understand! I contend that what is happening is there is a small amount of microscopic film (oxidation) on that 67 that the camera can pick up on, but you can not. This why I chuckle frequently when I hear that a coin must be held in hand to accurately judge/grade. I always reply the camera can see far more than the eye can see. I can't prove any of the above yet. I don't have the equipment. Soon.
ok since the morgan label is wrong, that means that everyone who guessed 65 is wrong - and everyone who scored 64 got it right? Yay!! I got one! But how come I didn't get the trifecta? me so confused.. Oh Come on..... If we are going to play like that, I want to contribute coins that I got with funny numbers on the label, bought for over and under money.... Just kidding.... sort of so, with 12 coins so far, there are some 50 cent'ers? awesome contest.. good stuff, love reading the witty results!
