Consider this. Just because a coin is graded doesn't mean it is better than an ungraded coin. Today, it is now common or popular for a collection to be graded because that is the norm. However, it just as important to know how to grade your coins. I think a collection of raw coins, with the owner knowing the grades because he graded them is better than a graded collection, bought because of the grade on the label. Also, to some people, being the holder will not look any better or even worse, than it would if it were to be in its natural state. I like to buy graded coins, I see nothing wrong with it, but I like to know that the grade on the label matches with the grade I give the coin. (If it is going into my personal collection versus a flip for profit) I buy graded coins, or have in the past rather, for the purpose of putting them in a PCGS/NGC Registry Set. I also buy graded coins because they are easier for me to keep track of. So, regardless of if you have a raw set or graded set it doesn't matter. It is the actual coin that makes the set top notch.
