Well, won't keep you guys in suspense (suspense?) any longer. She did indeed grade out at '65 by NGC. Picked her up a coin show today (Massapequa) but she really wasn't what I was after. What I really was lookin' for was a nice Texas Commem. Nobody seemed to have 'em. Then I visited a dealer who had some real nice stuff and upon looking, saw two San Diego's raw....'35-s and '36-d. He had them both graded as uncirc but the '35 seemed to be the better of the two. I took out the loupe and examined the coin a little closer. The "s" seemed mushy. I relayed this observation back to the dealer where upon he pulled out his loupe and examined the coin. Weak strike was his determination. OK (says to myself) lets have a closer look. Took the coin back and examined it again. It was at this time that I saw the hairlines. The coin was "scrubbed", so much so that I think that the "s" was affected. Thanks, but no thanks.

Moved on down the line and saw the little lady pictured in the OP. Love at first site, and in a "holder" to boot! Not much more in price than the "raw examples. Most of you folks here know me as being, basically, a "raw " guy. I like my stuff up close and personal but in this case.....I'm glad I opted for the holder.

Oh, one thing more. I bought the coin, not the holder.

Thanx guys.......
