BTW - at least from what I see on Teletrade, it seems that a PF67 is a higher end grade.

The second one would grade PF 69 ultra cam.

I really like that set. Those are the kinds of things I would go for. I don't care about the grade. I wanna know what's attractive to me. Lucky guy, you!

I don't know if this particular set came from a flat pack or box. I doubt that it was cherry picked from several sets. All the coins have similar toning patterns so I believe all five coins were probably from one set. This particular 1955 set was already housed in the 5-coin holder when I purchased it from Teletrade. Since then, I have put similar sets together for 1952, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8. If they photograph well tonight, then I will post the pictures.

Yes, NGC still offers the 5-coins holders. I hope they continue because I'm hoping to eventually complete the series with 1950, 51, & 57 toned proof sets.

    Very best regards,

I thought the joke was pretty obvious, but whatever.

    I like that 1955 Proof! I give 9.95 of 10 if it were a cameo a 10!!!

That's not haze, those are groups of spots.

67 is the midpoint of grades issued by NGC for this issue.

Here are the pops in 65-69, respectively, with 67 bolded:

    285 621 1254 895 12

    Hope this helps...Mike

p.s. I still think the OP got hosed on the CAM designation, but NGC can be very tough on these.

Be careful. I believe the coin pictured is a proof, and the coins you list are all business strikes, so the coin pictured is in all likelihood not one of those listed.

    Respectfully...Mike

I think your right. coinfacts has it as the cover coin, by I have no idea what it was graded as.

good call, Doug! and I would say that half of those spots don't exist as they are merely reflections of the spots!

Are they on the coin or the plastic?

NGC still offers 5-coin set encapsulation. These 1952 throught 1956 sets pale in comparison to the 1955 set.

    Yep.

I don't think they restrict multi-coin encapsulation to proof sets, though I'm sure that's popular amongst the multi-coin slabs.

Judging by their website, you can choose any theme you like for a multi-coin slab. I personally don't recall seeing one.
