I don't think they are raised. I see evidence of raised edges on a few lines on the reverse. And die lines are almost universally parallel and often curved. This coin has lines that are multi-directional. But I do acknowledge the possibility of die lines, however remote in my view. I think there is a broad consensus view here that the 1933 DE is grossly overgraded. It's only its famous and unique status that garnered the grade. Do you think it would have brought less money if it had been given a MS-62 grade? Would it have brought that money and been grade as it was if the other 12 (?) in government hands were on the market?
