I got this for 25 cents, along with around 30 others in comparable shape. It seems that someone sold there very nice farthing collection for cheap to my coin dealer.

There is still mint luster left on the very nice farthing, it just sits in a bag with my other foreign coppers, should I remove it?

What is it worth and what is it's grade?

Also, that coin you showed does have nice luster and I would put it in a 2x2, keep that one and sell the others.

I checked, It says $40 in EF though I think it is worth much less.

I just put it in a 2X2, there were many others with comparable luster and details but I did not have enough time to put each and every coin in a holder though I was tempted.

I put every single foreign coin I own into a 2x2, and since I collect world type coins and LOVE digging through bulk foreign coins, that's quite a bit!

That is based on what dealers would try to sell it to you for. I've looked up farthings on eBay and there are quite a few out there with varying prices. I don't know if they'd sell for much, but it's worth a shot if you have a few of those in that condition.

I love to too. I focus in US coins and my dealer has a bulk foreign coin bin. I did not pay much attention to it at first but then I started taking a big interest in it and my dealer purposely but very nice coins in there just for me and only let me look at them, not anyone else. Now that is one of the big things I look forward to. I will spend only $10 and get 40 nice 1800's coins, some of them may even be low purity silver!! My coin dealer completely knows that some coins are worth more than what he has them priced at. Though he accidentally dropped a nice 1865 US two cent piece and a extremly worn dateless draped bust large cent (I think he knew it was US but considering the condition did not put it out under the counter) in lol, I think he though it was some foreign coin. On Saturday I bought a MS Morgan and $3 worth of nice 1800's foreign coins.
I have an incredible George IV Halfpenny in EF condition maybe higher that I found along with 8 Young head Victoria 1840's Farthings and halfpennys along with 50 other nice 1800's coins one day.

I have around 20 high grade farthings dating from 1860-1890's, and another 10 in lower grades but still very nice. Also around 20 George and Edward farthings in varying conditions.
Not all have luster but still are in nice shape like this 1861 Farthing:

I have some Victoria Halfpennies with really good luster too, more Victoria halfpennies than farthings.

I also have around 120 Canada large cents, most are Victoria, though some are George or Edward. IMG_20150118_181151.jpg

Really cool coins and awesome to get a draped bust cent at any grade. I do not have any of that fat man's face on the GB coins I have, but wouldn't mind filling in holes. You have some awesome coins there; I hope you're able to make a penny or two out of them or fill in holes for your own collection. I'm in a secret war with my local coin dealer since I let him rip me off on a silver purchase when I first moved into town. I have since repented of my impulse buying and have not entered his store since. Perhaps one day I'll get over my ego and visit to look for more world coins.

Thanks! I'm not looking to sell any of them at the current time, I just like to add them to my collection and at 25 cents you can't go wrong! I hope you find something great at your coin shop for cheap!
